Job Title : Loan Operations Officer
Overview
? Based in Beijing, the incumbent will manage and process distressed loan trading activities in China within Deutsche Bank and in DB related entities.
? Work in multiple DB entities in Beijing, under matrix management reporting.
Duties will include:
? Liaise with front office/legal to perfect loan documentation, sale and purchase agreements and loan transfer documentation (e.g. assignment agreements, participation agreements and purchase price letters).
? Manage distressed loan portfolios, track repayments, credit control, and maintain proper records of loan positions, cash flow, documentation, collateral and correspondences relating to trades and loan operations, in accordance with established policies and Chinese regulations.
? Process all trades relating to distressed loans/distressed portfolios, including confirmation, settlement, payment and accounting entries.
? Liaise with asset managers, loan agents and other participants regarding cash distributions and fee settlement.
? Communicate with subsidiaries, external organisations, and interface with the business/China Branch Management, auditors, lawyers etc.
? Regular reconciliation of records to front office and agent positions.
? Investigation and follow up on irregularities in trade confirmation and settlement.
? Preparation of local/regional MIS reports and Head Office/regulatory reports.
? Safe keeping of documentation and scanning of documents in an electronic imaging system.
Candidate Specification
? Familiar with the banking regulations of the Central Bank in Beijing.
? Able to review and understand loan and related documentation in Mandarin and English.
? Good experience and knowledge of administration/processing relating to loan (preferably distressed loan trading) operations.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in Mandarin and English.
? Excellent accounting knowledge relating to loans and distressed portfolio management.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
? Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Access.
? Willing to travel within China and overseas.
